Pickmere Country House is a Georgian grade ll listed building dating back to 1772. Originally built as a farmhouse, it was the largest of its kind in Cheshire and commands picturesque views over the surrounding countryside. The house is situated in the centre of the village of Pickmere and is now a small hotel. It is fully licenced and serves lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals.
There are 11 bedrooms, 8 are en suite. 4 bedrooms are superior doubles with king size beds, 1 superior double/twin with zip and link beds, 1 standard double, 1 family room, 1 twin/double room with zip and link beds in the garden annex (ideal for guests with dogs and those wishing to be on the ground floor level), a single and a small double which share a bathroom and a single with private bathroom.
All the rooms have hospitality trays, guest information and there is free Wifi available throughout the house.
The guest sitting room has comfortable seating, a flat screen TV, a small library, a piano, children’s toys, card and board games and a gas burning log fire.
The small garden has a south facing terrace where guests can sit out in the summer and enjoy a pot of tea, a glass of Pimms or Prosecco and there is a lovely walk around the lake in the village.
