Great Dixter

The Garden Tour is a wonderful celebration of the passion and effort Christopher Lloyd and latterly Fergus Garrett have poured into Great Dixter. One of the most pleasant features of the gardens is that they lie all around the house itself. The house exterior and the many different gardens work in perfect synchronicity - make a circuit of the house and the gardens all fall seamlessly into place.

There is so much for novice and avid horticulturalists alike to enjoy here – prairies and meadows, orchards, exotic plants, vegetable gardens, walled gardens, moats and ponds, a topiary lawn, the dramatic Long Border and so much more. And afternoon here is one of the richest garden delights in East Sussex.
